Important Voter Information for the August 11 Special Republican Primary
The South Carolina State Election Commission has confirmed voter eligibility for the August 11 US Senate Special Primary.
This election is being held to choose the Republican nominee as a special election for the next U.S. Senate term, beginning in January 2027. The Republican nominee chosen on August 11 will advance to the November General Election to face the Democratic nominee. Governor McMaster has appointed the late Senator Lindsey Graham's sister, Darline Graham Nordone, to finish the reminder of this current term, which ends in January 2027.

You ARE eligible to vote if you:
Voted in the June Republican Primary, or
Did not vote in either party's June primary.
You are NOT eligible to vote if you:
Participated in the June Democratic Primary.
Early Voting: Wed-Fri, August 5, 6, and 7 from 8:30AM to 5:00PM at 605 W. Main St in Lexington. If other early voting locations will be used, we will update when announced.
If no candidate receives greater than 50% of the August 11 vote, then a Runoff Election will be held on Tuesday, August 25. Early voting for a Runoff will be held Wed-Fri, August 19, 20, and 21 from 8:30AM to 5:00PM at 605 W. Main St in Lexington. If other early voting locations will be used, we will update when announced.
