Statement from the Lexington County Republican Party on President Trump’s Historic First 100 Days
Lexington, SC – Today marks the first 100 days of President Donald J. Trump’s administration, and the Lexington County Republican Party proudly affirms its strong support for his leadership and agenda.
President Trump has launched a remarkable turnaround at our nation’s border, reversing years of policy failures under the previous administration. Illegal border crossings have plummeted to historic lows, with a reported 95% decrease in illegal encounters and a 99% reduction in so-called “gotaways.” Under President Trump’s direction, hundreds of individuals residing in the country illegally—many with violent criminal histories—have been apprehended and deported. Notably, the President has also signed the Laken Riley Act, further strengthening our nation’s commitment to public safety.
President Trump is delivering for the American people on multiple fronts. From lowering gas prices and energy costs to reducing the price of prescription drugs and everyday essentials like eggs, his administration is making daily life more affordable for working families. Additionally, President Trump continues to champion the needs of our veterans, ensuring they receive the care and respect they deserve.
This is only the beginning of a historic administration dedicated to Making America Great Again.
Despite resistance from out-of-touch Democrats like Jim Clyburn, President Trump is working at a record pace and winning on key issues that resonate with middle-class families across Lexington County and the nation. With a clear focus on common-sense, 80-20 issues, he is building a movement that reflects the values and priorities of hardworking Americans.
