Celebrating Victory of Republican Pastor John Lastinger

in SC House District 88 Special Election

Lexington County - The Lexington County Republican Party proudly celebrates

the decisive victory of Republican nominee Pastor John Lastinger in the South

Carolina House District 88 special general election, reaffirming Lexington

County’s strong Republican majority.

Voters rejected the Democrat opponent’s attempt to campaign without

acknowledging his party affiliation and delivered a clear result in support of

Republican leadership and values.

“We are grateful to the Republican voters who turned out during the Christmas

season to cast early ballots and vote on Election Day, December 23,” said

Chairman Mark Weber. “Your commitment ensured a conservative voice for

District 88 in Columbia.”

This victory builds momentum as we continue to support strong Republican

candidates across Lexington County and South Carolina heading into the June

2026 primaries.

Weber continued, “Merry Christmas, and may the upcoming legislative session

be productive for the citizens of South Carolina rather than the political class.”
